November tends to be a quieter month for races after all the excitement in October, so only a short round up is below.

The women’s A team came 49th at the English Cross Country Association (ECCA) Relays in Mansfield, with the women’s B team in 94th out of 126. The men’s A team came 50th with the men’s B team in 108th out of 179.

Samya Armoush, Gokul Giri and Zaheer Mahmood (sub-60) all achieved new 10k PBs at the fast and furious Leeds Abbey Dash.

10 ladies and 15 men made it out to the top-of-the-hill course at the third South Yorkshire Cross Country at Penistone, with Sarah Lowery in 7th and Mike Tanner in 2nd. There is only one South Yorkshire Cross Country left this year (17th December at Kiveton Park) if you want to take part, or feel free to join us at the Open XC this Sunday at Graves Park for some muddy fun!

Percy Pud 10K

Around 40 SRC runners were out at Percy Pud 10K either running or supporting, with PBs and the traditional pudding collected at the end. Sarah Lowery was 3rd lady and Matt Craig was 6th male, with prizes for Chris Ireland (winner of M55 category) and Jed Turner (runner up in M50 category.)

I’ll mention the PBs I know about below, but please don’t be upset if I missed yours or it’s incorrect as I only know about a few of them and runbritain isn’t 100% accurate. However, fantastic PBs for Samya Armoush in 40:25 (that sub-40 is definitely coming your way next year!), Rob Cassy 38:04, Gary Brooks 38:15, Abigail Knight 42:26 and Claire Wolstenholme 46:54.

Andrew Heyes won the race overall to set a new men’s course record of 29:42, with Eilish McColgan first lady and second place overall, also setting a new ladies course record of 32:23.
