After qualifying for the World Masters Athletics Championships, Jed Turner headed over to Malaga, Spain to run the 800 metres in the M55 category.

He qualified for the semi-finals after coming fourth in his heat in a time of 2.16.68, before preparing for his semi-finals the following day.

In the semi finals, Jed posted a PB time of 2:15.69, but just missed qualifying for the final by one place. His result put him in an amazing 13th place in the world for M55 800 metres.

Ray Knerr of the USA won the M55 800m final in 2:09.9, Simon Bickers of Great Britain and N.I. in 2nd place in 2:09:95 amd Giuseppe Ugolini of Italy in 3rd place in 2:10.00.
